Wedding Attire for Men – Modern and Traditional wear

Choosing the best clothes for the wedding day can be an overwhelming task for men. The decision depends on a number of factors such as style, location, season, time of the wedding, regional culture and so on. This day is one of the most significant days in a man’s life and making it picture-perfect and memorable is a must.

In a modern wedding atmosphere, the suit is the foundation of men’s wedding fashion. A trendy dark suit with a nice tie and white shirt is perfect for the evening wedding. Fabric should be cotton blend or linen if it is a summer nuptial and wool if it is a winter one. If the ceremony is during the day, a lighter, neutral color suit will look the best. Accessories add sophistication to a groom’s appearance. A vest, pocket square, cufflinks and a well-polished pair of shoes will add to the look. It signifies elegance and style. Suit is the most preferred choice during receptions.

However, during the marriage ceremonies, grooms often go for the traditional garment in accordance with the local customs and traditions. The rituals change according to the regional variations and the clothes worn by the grooms are not the same throughout India. In the North, sherwani is the most preferred wedding dress. In the South, West and Eastern India, adherence to the traditional Dhoti, worn in different styles, is the norm. A shirt, a kurta or an Angavastram (a piece of cloth) may be appropriate according to tradition. In the East, colour of the dhoti  is yellow while in the South the colour is usually white.

At any wedding, it’s not just the groom that has to look good and elegant. The groom’s best men, friends and family also have to dress impeccably. Yepme.com has a fine range of shirts, trousers and accessories to give everybody the finest look on a very special day.
